How will I be able to identify patients as Securian dental members?
Securian dental patients will have identification cards that clearly identify them as members.

Where do I send claims once I've provided dental services to a Securian dental member?
Please send claims to the address listed on the back of your patient’s ID card.

When I submit a dental claim to Securian, will I be paid directly for the amount allowed under the plan or will the patient receive the check?
If you are a participating provider, the check will go to you. If you are not a participating provider and the patient agrees to assignment of benefits on the claim form, the check will go to you. If not, the check will go to your patient.

Do I have to submit a pre-estimate of benefits for dental patients covered by Securian?
Securian recommends submitting a pre-estimate of benefits before providing high-cost dental care so you can accurately determine the benefits available under your patient's dental benefit plan. The pre-estimate of benefits will provide you with the coverage available and the amount of patient liability for the services provided.
