Why Securian Dental?

We've combined the strengths and resources of Securian Life and DeCare Dental Health International, LLC to create Securian Dental, an affordable, easy-to-understand dental program for small groups of two employees to large groups.

Securian Dental offers a variety of voluntary and employer-paid indemnity and Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) dental plans. Our indemnity plan is a traditional fee-for-service plan with complete freedom to use any dentist in America. Subscribers to the PPO plan in Securian Dental states (excluding Maine) have access to DenteMax—one of America's leading dental networks. PPO plan subscribers in Maine have access to the Encompass Network.

DenteMax has one of the largest dentist networks in the country, with more than 70,000 dentist access points.

Encompass
The DeCare Dental Encompass Network (formerly known as the Patriot Dental Network), administered by DeCare Dental Networks, LLC., services Securian Dental members in Maine. The network is the second largest preferred provider organization in Maine.

Concerning Securian Dental members who are currently under your care:

Patients may use their new Securian Dental ID card or may present their former Patriot Dental ID card. If you have concerns about eligibility, please call Securian Dental’s Customer Service at 1-800-234-9009.
Your current Professional Services staff will continue as your day-to-day contact for network or contract questions.
Claims for groups in ME, VT and NH should be mailed to Securian Dental Plans, P.O. Box 192, Minneapolis, MN 55440-0192. For information on sending electronic claims, providers may contact Customer Service at 1-800-234-9009.
